Our Membership working group has been focused on creating IARA’s membership validation and application process. We carefully thought out the procedure to cater for the diverse palette of developed and undeveloped national associations. We have applied our procedure to four countries as test cases, learning from their distinctly different structures.
IARA Membership applications are now open. IARA’s members are national Adventure Racing organisations, representative Adventure Racing structures, and organisations closely linked to the sport.
The Membership Application process is as follows:
- Apply for membership using the application form on our IARA website.
- A video call will be scheduled with the IARA membership working group
- If the membership working group is sufficiently satisfied that your organisation meets the conditions for full membership, they will advise the IARA committee to grant full membership. If the IARA committee agrees, you will be granted the full membership.
- If your national association is eligible but some elements are incomplete, your organisation may be granted with a provisional membership and a checklist of what we would further need for full membership.
- If your organisation not yet eligible for full membership, there is a possibility that your organisation will be granted an ‘Observer’ membership status.
- IARA’s membership structure also accommodates for Associate Members. These are organisations that are closely linked to the sport of Adventure Racing.

We recommend that you first read the questions and then collect the necessary information to complete the form before filling it in and submitting it to us.
